The term Economic Gardening, defined as ‘Growing Our Economy from Within’. This could be achieved by providing acceleration to business expertise and technology for both existing small businesses and new businesses located within the country.
Families should spend time together in the garden.
It works for the goal “to assist businesses on its early stage for the development so that they remain viable and prepared to overcome common obstacles”.
Economic Gardening runs by gathering new opportunities for sales and expanding upon the old ones through the provision of low-cost or free information and tools to small business ventures. It also assists by providing useful information like general business management and marketing support. Economic Gardening was constituted with the 3 basics elements, which are
1) Provide small and new businesses with critical information to thrive and survive, in the given condition.
2) Cultivating and Developing an infrastructure which in results provide with quality of life, a culture which embraces change and growth, and provide intellectual resources, talented and qualified employees.
3) Developing relationships between the organizations and businesses and the people, which can help take them to the next stage i.e. universities, business associations, service providers, roundtable groups and more. Economic Gardening was also displayed on Internet mail-list in early 1990.
Economic Gardening was innovated by Chris Gibbons in 1989, in the City of Littleton, Colarodo, in collaboration with Center for the New West. It was introduced before as demonstration program which was suppose to deal the immediate erosion of economic condition for the relocation for of the city’s largest employer at that time.
Basically the seeds for the Economic Gardening were planted in early 1980 in Leadville, Colarodo, but at that time its role was to provide consulting services.
